Boone Varsity Football Squad Makes History with 1st Win on New Field

The varsity football team waited a long time to compete on their new artificial turf field but they made it special by pounding the Freedom Patriots 39-6 for a win on Homecoming Weekend.
Senior quarterback Jaxsen Anangostis went 8-12 passing for 170 yards and three touchdowns and added a rushing TD to score the first TD ever on the field in a varsity contest. 
Senior running back Dai one Creal rushed for 100 yards and Owen Connell and Chris Roberts added TDs of their own to lead the way for the Braves.
Senior defensive end Jay Swegheimer had a monster game on defense, recording 9 tackes (3 for loss), 6 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 3 batted balls and a safety. 

On Tuesday night, the JV squad traveled to Freedom to take on the Patriots and came away with a 42-0 victory.
Austin Davis had 3 sacks for the Braves in the win. Ian Kaiser and Demarcus Walker each had 2 touchdowns and Adonael Suffrant ran for a TD of his own.

The varstiy squad travels to University H.S. on Monday night for a make-up game against the Cougars.
