The Boone varsity fooball team, behind a 196-yard, 4 touchdown performance from senior running back Dai One Creal, defeated Edgewater 35-27 to retain the barrel. The game was the 66th time the two teams have faced each other, with the Braves taking 4 of the past 5 contests.

Creal scored his fourth TD of the game on the next play and Jonathan De Lucca converted the extra point for the lead.
Senior defensive back Jack Dixson then returned an interception for a touchdown on the Eagle's next possession for the final points of the game.

With the victory and based on the new playoff system initiated by the FHSAA, Boone is the #6 seed in Region 1. The Braves will now travel to Flagler Palm Coast High School for a first round matchup at 7:30 this Friday. Tickets are $8.
