Lady Braves Lacrosse Unable To Hold On Against Windermere
3/8/2018 8:32:00 AM

The Lady Braves Varsity squad took on newly formed Windermere High School on a cool Monday evening. The visiting Wolverines took the decision, 11-5, in a game where the score did not reflect the play. With the Braves down at the half 4-1, they found a surge in the second half, knotting the game up at 4-4 with more than 15 minutes to play. The Wolverines found a quick goal to take back the lead, but the Lady Braves were able to knot it right back up at 5-5, followed by another quick Wolverine goal to put them ahead by one with about 5 minutes to play. With 4 minutes left, the Lady Braves seemed to continue to dig themselves in a hole, with Windermere scoring a goal every minute until the clock winded down.

Kara Gentry, Madeline Bogan, Jessica Shutack, and Lexi Pace each contributed with a goal. Payton Johnson play extremely well, keeping the Lady Braves in the game.

The Lady Braves drop to 0-2 (0-0 D, 0-1 M) on the year. They are right back to work on Wednesday, February 28 when they travel to East River to take on the Falcons.
