5/19/2017 6:42:00 AM
In Wednesday night's spring football game, the defense led the way for the Braves, holding the Olympia Titans to 112 yards of total offense in a 7-0 loss. The varsity squad, playing the first three quarters, kept the Titans off the scoreboard during that time. A late 4th quarter score during JV action were the only points scored in the game.
Jay Swegheimer had 4 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery for Boone. Devonte Booker added 7.5 tackles and Aaron Bullock had an interception.
Quarterback Jaxsen Anagnostis accounted for 112 yards of offense.
The game also marked the ground-breaking ceremony for the artificial turf field that will be constructed during the summer and will be ready for the home opener against Lake Nona on September 1st. The McCoy Federal Credit Union Sports Complex will officially be dedicated that night, and we would like to thank CEO of McCoy, Alvin Cowans, for his support of Boone Athletics.
